Carlos is a great guide for the Tagus River Estuary.  His knowledge of the area, the conditions, the seasons and birds is exceptional.  We have taken this trip twice and learned a lot about the local migratory birds each time. We highly recommend this trip.

This was an excellent tour! Three hours and even though it was high tide we saw tonnes of bird life! Carlos was knowledgeable and kind, the other guests were great and the birds showed up for us. Carlos also tried to reschedule because of the tides, but we went out regardless. Birds seen: shelduck, mallard, black-winged stilt, grey plover, common ringed plover, little ringed plover, whimbrel, common sandpiper, redshank, greenshank, dunlin, little stint, black-headed gull, yellow-legged gull, lesser black-backed gull, little tern, greater flamingo, white stork, black shag, glossy ibis, spoonbill, little egret, western cattle egret, white heron, grey heron, purple heron, osprey, western marsh harrier and western yellow wagtail.

We joined a birdwatching tour with Lisbon River Friends along the Tagus River at 10:00 in the morning. We saw many species, including Sandwich Tern, Northern Lapwing, Green-winged Teal, Mediterranean Gull, Eurasian Whimbrel, Common Redshank, Bar-tailed Godwit, Black-bellied Plover, Common Ringed Plover, Eurasian Spoonbill, Common Sandpiper, Dunlin, Osprey, Pied Avocet, and Little Egret, and many more. We had a very special experience on this tour, with Carlos. He was a fantastic guide, incredibly knowledgeable and observative. Every few minutes he was potining out a new special species of birds. If you love birdwatching this tour with Carlos is a must!!! Thanks Carlos!
